Camping trips by the sea

On the Catalan coast there is a wide variety of family campsites so you can spend your days by the sea. All of them have entertainment staff and offer sports and recreational activities. Their facilities are designed for children to have fun and enjoy their surroundings. Whether in a pitch, a tent, a bungalow, a mobile home or your own motorhome, days with your family full of adventures await you. Here are ten campsites where you can enjoy the sea and the outdoors.

Sant Pere Pescador, campsites by the beach

Sant Pere Pescador is a paradise for families who love camping. It has a 6.3 km beach of sand and dunes, where the Fluvià river flows, and it’s an area of great natural beauty. In addition, next to it are the Empordà wetlands, a protected natural space where you can go and observe seabirds.

In this coastal town there are seven campsites with direct access to the beach. Sant Pere Pescador beach is an exceptional place to practise water sports, as few people visit the beach and it has very changeable wind conditions; sometimes the tramuntana, or northern wind, and other times the llevant (eastern) or garbí (western) winds. Campsites such as Aquarius, Àmfora and Las Dunas have a sailing & surfing school, where families can learn sports such as windsurfing, sailing, kitesurfing, diving and snorkelling.

At Aquarius campsite you can stay in bungalows of 90 square metres, which are fully equipped and have a terrace to enjoy al fresco family meals surrounded by nature. This campsite has everything set up for families travelling with their pets. It offers special pitches, a walking area and a shower if you come with your furry friends.
