Aquatic fun at the hotel

The summer holidays are upon us! Would you like to find a hotel with a water park so that your children can have even more fun? In Catalonia there is a fantastic selection of hotels that incorporate slides and various other water attractions, as well as entertainment clubs. It’s a great way to keep the children entertained and cool in an enclosed area of the hotel, while parents enjoy the sea views from the terrace.

We have selected thirteen hotels with a water park, where your children won’t want to leave the water on the Costa Brava, Costa Barcelona and Costa Daurada. Ready for a splash?

Have fun and get soaked on the Costa Brava!

In Lloret de Mar you will find four hotels that are an oasis of water and fun. The Rosamar Garden Resort offers 4-star accommodation surrounded by gardens and green areas with an impressive area of slides and water attractions, the Aquasplash and three swimming pools. Your children will enjoy the Multimille 4 lanes slide like nothing else! There they’ll be able to race down with friends and family and also enjoy a single-track slide.

If they would prefer to slide down gentler, shorter slides, there are three more, and one of them is in the form of a spiral. To access all of them, a minimum height of 1.20 m is required. In the children’s pool you’ll find the Pirate ship Sparrow, equipped with small, covered slides where they will experience adventures and even pirate attacks! You also have the Silver river, where they can sail in canoes and discover some dinosaurs. The Aquaplash area is open every day from 10am to 7pm.

Sharky, the friendly mascot from the Aparthotel Costa Encantada, welcomes you to its water park. This shark guards a large pirate ship with multi-lane slides so you can jump into the water as a family. Another attraction is the pirate ship from where you can jump into the pool down a twisty slide that reaches 5 metres high. For smaller children, the shallow water area, the Splash, is ideal for having fun. There are colourful figures, dolls and water cannons, and they can get wet under a waterfall that comes out of a pirate skull and throw themselves into the water down an octopus-shaped slide.

The water facilities at Guitart Central Park Aqua Resort are set in a tropical jungle. Here, kids can play in an interactive water play area with waterfalls and giant buckets of water that will cool them off. You’ll find two slides, one covered and the other spiral-shaped, so they can burn off all their energy in the water. Children must be at least 1.20 m tall to use the slides. The aquatic area opens every day from 10am to 7pm.

At the Evenia Olympic Palace, children will get to experience living on a real pirate island! The children’s pool has a large pirate ship where they can slide down the low and uneven slides. There are also other slides with longer bends. They can even throw themselves into the water coming out of the mouths of dragons and sea creatures!

At Hotel Papi in Malgrat de Mar, the animals are the stars of the mini water park for children aged 2 to 12. This large, colourful structure is equipped with spouts and water curtains, and surrounded by cute hippos and turtles. You’ll also discover a large magical toadstool, as it only releases water once in a while! Get ready for the surprise!

The Caribbean, the Mediterranean and Polynesia on the Costa Daurada

In Salou, the corsairs await you at the H10 Mediterranean Village to enjoy a seafaring adventure on a pirate ship. From there you’ll zoom down multi-lane slides. There is also a swimming pool for children, where you will find a Jungle Park. There are rainforest animals, waterspouts and a couple of low slides so the little ones can get wet. At the campsite there is a third area with games such as water pistols.

Also in this town is the Alannia Salou, a tourist complex where children have a swimming pool specially designed for fun. It has a water circuit, set among tropical islands, that integrates several slides of different sizes, outlets and jets of water, bridges and platforms so that children can be entertained for hours and not get too hot. The park is around 1,000 m2, and also has garden areas with deckchairs and umbrellas. The minimum height to use the slides is one metre.

In Vila-seca-La Pineda Platja, the Estival Park hotel has a small integrated water park, with a 35 cm-deep pool. Children will have to climb a structure that looks like a tropical island, to find the covered slide. At the top, there is also a large bucket that sprays water and refreshes children before they jump into the pool.

Without leaving town, at Ohtel La Hacienda children have up to three slides to choose from. There are covered and uncovered ones, you can choose between the straight one, the faster one, or the spiral one, with bends that make the journey more exciting. These slides are located in an area further away from the pools. If you want to spend a day in the water, head to the children’s pool which has several water games, water curtains and a couple of shallow slides.

In Cambrils, the Estival El Dorado Resort water park area will seem like a tropical paradise. Its white covered and semi-covered slides combine with the figs of the palm trees that surround the space and with the transparent water of the pool. It also has fountains and small islands from where children can safely jump into the water.

Where would you like to head to this summer? Polynesia, the Caribbean or the Mediterranean? The answer is the Cambrils Park Resort! Here you will enjoy three zones which are created to appear like these three holiday destinations.

The children’s pool is decorated with figures of animals such as elephants, dragons, turtles, crocodiles and Polynesian totems. There are also various games, such as water curtains, jets, fountains and mini slides. Children can even go inside a dragon’s mouth and jump directly into the water. They will love it!

In the Mediterranean area, the pool is made to look like a white sandy beach and families can easily access the water, just like a real beach. What’s more, from the beach the children can take a trip along the rocks to reach a spectacular lighthouse by the pool.
