PIRINEUS – NOGUERA PALLARESA
Casa Macià (Roní): Farm animals and wildlife
Pepita and her family, lifelong cattle breeders, invite you to share a few days in their rural accommodation in the Vall d’Àssua. During your stay at Casa Macià you will get to know the animals on their farm: horses, cows, sheep and chickens. You can pet them and even feed them. At home, they organise visits to their garden to pick vegetables. If you want to explore the surroundings of the farm house, Pepita recommends the Camí de la Fauna. Along this route, which reaches the Mirador d’en Miquel, you will get to know the fauna of the area: chamois, deer and wild boar.

At Casa Coix you will receive a proper welcome: a basket with products from their garden that vary according to the season. The house has a farm with sheep and goats, and 4 horses that you can go and visit. Going to collect fresh eggs from the hen house is also another activity that children will love.

Cal Roset and Casa Bellera (Caregue): The xisqueta sheep and a descent of the ravines
At Cal Roset you can accompany Montse, the owner, to aviar (graze) her flock of xisqueta sheep, a breed native to the Pyrenees of Catalonia. You can also bathe in the waters of the Caregue river in summer or spring and start descending the ravines! The Berrós ravine is ideal for children as it is easy and not too long.
