From the Costa Brava to Terra Ferma, Catalonia’s interior offers an incredible variety of landscapes, alternating mountains and plains, scattered towns and medium-sized cities that have shaped and marked the Catalan character over the centuries.

From the seaside mountains of Begur you will enter the Empordà and its medieval villages before crossing Les Gavarres towards Girona. The course of the Ter River will lead you to the foot of Les Guilleries , south of the river, a land rich in secrets and legends, which you will cross through Sant Hilari Sacalm, the town of the one hundred fountains, and the emblematic village of Espinelves. Otherwise you can reach La Vall d’en Bas to cross the Collsacabra, the massif north of the river, crossing the Condreu Pass and making a stop on the cobbled streets of Rupit.

Descending from Les Guilleries or from the Collsacabra, you will enter the Plain of Vic, which was already home to important human settlements at the time of the Iberians, before climbing towards the Moianès Plateau and the Sant Llorenç del Munt i l'Obac mountain range, with the characteristic village of Mura.

Manresa, almost at the geographical heart of Catalonia, opens into the Llobregat Valley, in turn leading you to the foot of Montserrat. You will descend the eastern slope of the massif to Igualada, an important industrial centre for leather tanning for many years.

The upper part of the Conca de Barberà opens the doors to the valley of the Corb River, a land of grains, olive groves and the medieval village of Guimerà. Finally, you will cross the Urgell Channel in Arbeca before heading towards Lleida, where you will see the spectacular sunsets.
