Visit the Poblet Monastery

Discover the largest Cistercian monastery in Europe and the most emblematic one on the Route of Royal Monasteries of Catalonia. Tranquillity and a lot of culture is what you will find upon entering the Poblet Monastery. This 14th century building declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO is inhabited by monks of the Order of Saint Benedict.

Walking through the different spaces, the church of Santa Maria de Poblet and the Gothic cloister with the chapter house, you get an idea of what it means to live in a monastic community. In addition, you can also visit the living quarters of the monks. This monastery preserves valuable works of sacred art.

Your visit can be accompanied by a meal in the hotel built where the old hospital for the poor and pilgrims stood or a wine tasting.
