The magical universe of a collector
Imagine going into the chest of an art collector. This is the feeling you’ll have when you visit the Abelló Museum and the Painter’s House in Mollet del Vallès.
Joan Abelló was a painter and collector, a town native, who accumulated a large number of works and objects of art. To accommodate his large collection he bought up to 11 houses adjacent to his own. He thus created the museum that houses his entire oeuvre and the Painter’s House, a magical space with painted ceilings, walls full of art, miniatures, porcelain and paintings and sculptures by prominent artists of the 19th and 20th centuries like Joaquim Mir, Sorolla, Picasso, Brossa and Dalí.
Delve into the bohemian universe of Joan Abelló and discover one of the most eclectic and unknown museums in Catalonia.
