Nielsen’s hiking trails
It all started with a spectacular aerial shot of a field of peach trees in bloom in Aitona that Nielsen couple saw on Instagram. From then on, he began looking for more places in the Terres de Lleida on social media. A few days later he was arranging a getaway with his partner in the westernmost region of Catalonia.
They are staying in a small rural hotel and from there they plan to go on several hiking routes. The first is a 6-km circular route around the area of the Estany d’Ivars i Vila-sana. This large lake boasts outstanding biodiversity and is home throughout the year to more than 200 species of birds as well as otters, tortoises and small mammals. They feel at ease in this peaceful spot, taking in the scenery. They decide to spend the afternoon chatting quietly and getting ready for the following day’s outing.
Welcome to your Catalonia, Nielsen couple.
