Lars’s plan: friends, nature and bikes

Getting away from the city, blending in with nature on a bike, having your hair stand on end during a downhill, discovering places you’ve never seen before and getting in touch with the local culture… This is what Lars and his friends are looking for in the Catalan Pyrenees. He has coordinated the whole plan: booking flights, bike-friendly accommodation and choosing the first of the mountain bike routes they will do, the Ruta dels Dòlmens d’Organyà. For this group of friends, the best holidays are always on two wheels.  

The first outing is a challenging circular route which combines cycling and culture. It starts in Organyà and takes them in search of the dolmens in the Cabó valley, which are tucked away along the edges of the trail. The path climbs up to the Pillat pass, where they take a short break along the way to snap a selfie to immortalise the moment. In the saddle they feel free. It’s just them, nature and their bikes. Then they set off back to Organyà via Solana de Fontanella and the Tresponts gorge on the banks of the River Segre. 

Their holiday has only just begun, and over the next few days they will have more routes in the Catalan Pyrenees ahead of them.
