Granollers, medieval and Modernista town

Delve into the historical past of Granollers strolling through its old quarter. A highlight of the route is La Porxada, built in 1587 as a corn exchange during the height of the town’s splendour. It is the most emblematic building of the city and has been declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest. Also of note is L’Adoberia d’en Ginebreda, a centre for medieval historical interpretation and one of the best preserved tanneries in Catalonia.

The Modernista route takes you to different public and residential buildings designed at the beginning of the 20th century by architects including Joan Martorell and Simó Cordomí, like Casa Clapés by Joaquim Raspall from 1907. And after the cultural visit you can always stop by Fonda Europa, with over 300 years of history, and have a snack.
