Astrid keeps getting messages after sharing with her friends a photo of her in front of the Sant Pau Catalan Art Nouveau site. They are amazed by the style and beauty of this building designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner. Astrid is on a tour of Barcelona with her partner, which also takes them to call in at the Casa de les Punxes, the remains of the old Roman wall of the city, the basilica of Santa Maria del Mar and the Gràcia district. They want to visit all the city’s must-sees and go home with a packed photo album plus the satisfaction of having taken in everything they wanted to explore.
At the end of the tour, Astrid has another must that she is particularly looking forward to visiting: the Miró Foundation. They take advantage of the tour of Montjuïc Mountain and go to the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya to admire the panoramic views over the city and gaze at the sunset.
Welcome to your Catalonia, Astrid.
