Discover Catalonia without barriers

In Catalonia we like to play host and open up our home to everyone. We want you to feel at home, to enjoy Catalonia’s rich cultural heritage, the unique scenery and world-renowned cuisine. To ensure that you do, we have set out to remove barriers and take on the responsibility of making Catalonia an accessible destination for everyone. Most establishments and tourism resources here are adapted for the disabled and people with reduced mobility to make tourism an activity for everyone.

Nature for All

Catalonia has accessible destinations from the Mediterranean to the Pyrenees and from the Costa Brava to Terres de Lleida. Examples are Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park, and Aiguamolls de l’Empordà and El Delta de l’Ebre natural parks.

But, above all, there are a host of activities for just about everyone. You can take a dip in the sea at Catalonia’s many beaches that are equipped for all visitors. If rambling is your thing, try one of the adapted stretches on the Greenways, or Vies Verdes, in Girona or La Terra Alta, or the Catalan stretch of the Way of Saint James. We cater for people with sensory disabilities, who can download audio and sign guides so they have all the details on the route. And if you’re a high flyer you can take a trip in an adapted hot-air balloon  and float along in the Catalan sky or even go paragliding.
