Catalonia, a place to be savoured sip by sip
Wine is part of our history. Every glass contains a tiny piece of our heritage. The Greeks brought it to L’Empordà and the Romans turned it into a trade. And together, they taught us to savour and pair it. Vineyards are a part of the Mediterranean landscape of Catalonia and can be found on the coast, inland and even in the mountains.
Twelve different ways to savour life in the same territory. There are eleven geographical designations of origin for wine and one for cava in Catalonia. When you try them, you’ll taste the wind blowing through the vines, the courage of the grape berries growing on steep, stony terraces, the strength of the grape bunches withstanding the fierce heat of the plains.
Macabeu, Xarel·lo, Sumoll, Grenache, Malvasia… These are Catalan grape varieties that plant memories in your palate. Savour the experience of tasting them directly from the vine, or spend a night in the cellar where the wine is made, or treat yourself to a wine therapy session. And when you taste them again, the memories will come flooding back.
There are so many different ways to enjoy wine tourism. Come share a glass with us in one of our wineries. Let us open the doors of Catalonia to you, your home away from home.
